Q: How does Viva Learning compare to Learning Pathways?
A: Learning Pathways is a set of Office 365 training content that Microsoft produces and keeps updated. Viva Learning is a container which can consume any organizational learning content.
Much of Learning Pathways content is already in Viva Learning now and the other pieces not currently included, will be there in the future.
Q: Is Teams app the only way to surface the Learning data or can you access from SharePoint pages as well?
A: There have been some screenshots showing how Viva Learning might appear in SharePoint at some point but nothing concrete yet
Q: Does Viva Learning have any AI driven functionality such as suggestion for courses based on my history and learning pattern?
A: Viva Learning does have some capability to use the Microsoft graph and automatically recommend courses to the learner based on their history and behavior.
Q: I can see that content in Viva Learning can be aggregated into a central access point. Can content also be presented 'in-context'?
A: Viva Learning by itself cannot present content in context. Having said that, there are partners such as VisualSP that take the same Viva Learning and Learning Pathways content and present that in context to the user within their own environment wherever they are.
Q: Can you audience target content, eg one division only wants to see one lot of information - different to another department?
A: You can use Teams app policies to push the Viva Learning app to a certain set of users.
Q: What level of configuration is needed by the company to create the best user experience? Does the environment recognize groups, or is this more of an individual approach to learning?
A: It's an individual approach to learning. The app currently does not recognize groups.
